Yes it's Ladies night and the feeling's right

ALL THE LADIES IN THE HOUSE SAY YOO...

Ladies night everywhere, so me and a few of my friends were supposed to go to China Black, we met up at 11 plus. Skipped the queue and got stuck at the cashier, cos apparently, black is full, so they couldn't let anyone in. We stayed there for quite a while before deciding to move to zouk. At zouk, it was even more chaotic because we couldnt even make out the queue. Even if it was ladies night, places were never this packed. It turns out last night was the last night of A levels(go figure) or maybe ppl came out after Singapore Idol. Anyway, ben's friend louis managed to get us in first but we couldnt bring jane and sijing in (the manager guy say cannot). They let us in through the members entrance and got stuck at the staircase, apparently something was happening there was all sorts of shouting ( i even heard breaking glass at one point). so we chose to go left, up the staircase and into Phuture, wot a bad choice!! We moved moved, and got some bar space, but we ended up being squashed against it and being pushed by the never ceasing movement of people. There seem to be a never ending line of people going left and right in and out and to do that, they had to pass by us. After a while, jane got into zouk, so we moved there. My baby danced with me!

Mambo Night was the usual with all the "action" people. The music was all retro!!! but in between the played some good songs, maybe to pacify those who didnt enjoy the retro all that much. Think the angmohs must have been thinking, "what kind of shit club is this?". Danced a little with jane and sijing. After a while of exertion, we managed to get 2 bar stools, so ben and me just sat and rested.

I think the point of clubbing is to see and be seen, enjoy yourself sometime. But mostly the whole place was swarming with hot blooded men in packs, maybe trying to get lucky or just have some fun, i dont know. I really wonder what is the next trend us fickle singaporeans will pick up on. Imagine when we were just 16, the whole thing was like labelled "ah beng" and if you were really a regular goer people would just label you an "ah lian". If someone would resusticate the old place at taka sparks used to occupy would they make money? Even Shaw Plaza ( ulu shopping centre near my house) has a hip new bar. Not the kind of ah peh bar but the trying to look hip kind. Oh well...the whole town will probably be out at sentosa this coming saturday, maybe if you went this sat to china black or just watch movies or anything, there might be less people. Just a thought.
