Ben went sailing again recently, but this time was rather different. He went on monday and would return around wednesday/thursday. This time however, there was no contact with him whatsoever. He didnt even get the msges i sent him till the day he returned. I guess it was rather okay as i was very busy last week. Imagine my surprise when i got his message somewhere around lunch on wednesday. Haha! He was back. I really missed him, thought about him quite a lot. I wrote down the things in a letter i wanted to tell him but was afraid i'd forget. Although i was going to have a test the next day, i met him anyway.
I really couldnt care less about Financial Markets. Mainly cos its extremely boring but it is useful, so i have to go through with it anyway. I still had a little to study, thus the short dinner.
Havent been to eat the toa payoh hokkien mee in a while, so i suggested that place. But goodness, when we reached, we realized most of the stalls were all closed. We had to settle for a western food stall that (according to ben) wasnt so good. I think it was more he ordered the wrong thing than the food being bad, cos i thought mine was rather good. His chicken cutlet was really 70% made of flour and not much chicken. I would have added a lot to my waistline.
Anyway, i do realize that i need to train my superbly flabby arms. Whenever i wave high to someone, there are 2 extra buddies waving hi as well. There are 2 sets of perfectly fine dumbbells lying around somewhere at home. But knowing me, i probably wont do it.

Vrrrooommm
I went with ben to Pasir Gudang on saturday. Pasir gudang, is a race track for cars somewhere in jb. It was so exciting to see all those supermodified cars racing. The journey was rather long, about 1/2 an hour just to get there. But its alright as ben's car is comfortable.
The fact that almost 90% of the people there are male and the length of the journey, the condition of all the cars present really give an idea of how much these men (and most men in general) care for their cars. Men and their cars...*grumbles*
From what they told me, there about 2/3 car clubs there that night, hence the unusually high number of cars seen. There was the Singapore Lancer Club (SLC), the Vios Club (VOGS) and one more i cant remember. There were so many powerful cars that night, with some of the most powerful being lancers, there vios were all rather slow (in comparism to the lancers). In fact, there was an orange racing car that was towed in, it had no license plates and was so heavily modified it sounded like a motorbike when racing, damn loud. I was told this car was specifically for racing purposes only. He raced alone many times that night, i suspect not because he wanted to exercise his engine, but because nobody wanted to play him cos anyone who did would most probably lose to him.
If any girl were to have a bf with such a car, she'd have to accept that the car is his life, not her. Sometimes i really do not get this love affair between man & car, but then again, men do not get women & shopping either.
If a girl ever wanted a bf with a car, all she has to do is try to get into a car forum. That is if you're only interested in the car, not the man.
That night, there were a few other very nice/fast cars, a toyota mr2 (woo baby), that orange car, and a gun-metal lancer(ben's friend). According to ben, that lancer is so heavily modified, it practically has season parking at garage R, which can apparently tune lancers or derno wot car model to the fastest speeds in asia.
I really wonder why men spend so much on their cars when they know that they can't keep it long, and the value drops steadily for each day you are driving the car. Maybe in a sense its like why women still buy clothes when they know it will go out of season sooner or later, but the main difference is that clothing styles will still come back.
Anyway, ben won 2x and he raced 2x. I was in the passenger seat both times, damn shiok! The feeling in that moment the car shoots past the finish line first is beyond words. the adrenaline rush when the car speeds up and goes faster and faster and the knowledge that we won (even with me in the car ben boasts - extra weight) is too much to contain. I will not forget that night for some time to come, or probably forever.

Recent Going Ons
Went shopping with my girls on sunday since qinyi is going back to australia again-ded this tuesday, which is today actually. Had lots of fun talking abt girl stuff, triapsing all over town. I realized i havent been doing this in a long time, having fun with my jc friends. Everyone is so busy with their uni lives, i'm the only one who seems so free.
We went back and forth so many times, think the one who got most things was qinyi. I got a new swearter, a pair of shades and a bag. Bag only S$6. I think after collecting bags and jackets, i want to collect *horrors* shades! Haha.
Anyway, i went to Pasir Gudang on saturday as well. If you dont know where or what is Pasir Gudang then never mind. It was such a thrill, seeing all those supermodified cars racing. *will write something on this soon*
I cant remember what i did on friday night and i really love my hair

I hate Thursdays
I especially hate Thursdays, thursdays are horrible. Let me tell you why. First, i have no lunch (and i didnt eat breakfast in the moning today) break since i have french during my 2hr break. So i have to rush my "brunch" in whatever leftover time there is from statistics, which is usually about 15 - 30 mins. BUT today was downright fantastic since i woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Or to be precise, i got up at the exact time i was supposed to be in class. I woke up from my alarm, switched it off and went back to laalaaland again. The next time i woke up, first thing i saw was the bright sunlight and *oh shit*. I rushed about doing my stuff and reached dover at about 10.30am. The only good thing about today was that ken kwan marked my attendance (on the condition that i did whatever work they did during the lesson) even though there was only half an hour left to the lesson. Great, i missed the practice to the test.
The next lesson was the usually boring Financial Markets lecture, which to our chagrin was interrupted due to a spoilt projector. Some rest for me at least. I bought 2 waffle sausages or whatever you call it for french after the lesson to eat along the way and during french. However, being the notoriously slow eater (the sausage was HOT too) i am, many would have already guessed by now that i wouldnt have finished it when i reached the classroom designated for french classes. So in all my politeness, i asked Jean Marc if i could eat during his class, he said ok. There are other Teacher-students in the class learning french too. So, one of them, who just so happens to look like an ugly old hag, told me in no uncertain terms that i shouldnt be eating in there, School policy blah blah blah, that i should eat outside.

- i would miss quite a lot of the lesson if i were to eat outside being a not so fast eater
- It's not your lesson anyway, what do you care. I do realise lecturers have a duty to "uphold the school rules" but hello, if you're such a stickler for rules, where's your creativity, think out of the box sp rubbish. such an attitude would make you a very lousy and unpopular lecturer. Where's your concern for students?
- Its not as if i'm a super messy eater who'll sprinkle 30% of my food all over the place, and besides what i was eating probably wouldn't sprinkle anything anywhere. What do you pay the cleaning auntie for anyway?
but what infuriated me further was the entrance of 2 guys from the class. one of them was carrying a packet of honeydews. THAT BLOODY FUCKING BITCH didnt say anything!! WHAT THE HELL? what was the difference between my food and his food? The plastic bag rustled ratherly loudy and it was pretty obvious that he was eating in the class, and she still didnt say anything. That FUGLY BITCH. Acting all hoity toity and she can't even pronounce her french words properly.
What is it with bloody old hags and young boys. And that guy was rather good looking mind you, clean cut kinda boy boy look. Is it my fault i wasnt born with a birdy?

Dye-ded
Went to die my hair today @ Hair Link, this salon at Far East Plaza. The service there is really good, they even help you design your highlights before they start. I picked a mixture of copper and ruby red and the result is awesome. The colour looks purplish red now, i love it. Although i actually wanted purple at first cos i saw a girl in school with really nice purple hair. But it turns out you have to bleach your hair first before dyeing purple, so too damaging. I picked a mixture of neat highlights(the normal kind) and random lights so it looks nicer, the reds are more obvious. I love my hair now.

As time ticks by
Our youth fades away
The time of our lives
now seem so far from my memory
The years pass by
and my memories of you fade
till i hardly think of what we shared
Was it so long ago
that we laughed together
talked together
sang together
believed in forever
and time passes by
so slowly without the joys
we had in our younger days
without the wild ways
that we don't have the energy for any longer
No one ever said it was easy
letting a friend go
but why was it so with you
Was it something i never did
feelings i never shared
or was it just me you didnt like.

Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is good for us young kids mainly because of the angbaos we receive. But sometimes dont you just dread going to another relatives house, where you will be compared with the hosts' son or daughter. Oh, whose result was better, who is doing what in which university. Sometimes i wonder why parents cant be satisfied. Goodness, these things can really stress people out.
I wonder what kristalle must feel like, having just finished her o levels and all. I've noticed this trend of grade comparing year after year. and it just so happens that the release of results is always around or near the chinese new year. Its funny, parents sometimes. Think of your kid, for goodness' sake.

Lousy lousy
I went for the talentime audition thingy. Oh man, i think i screwed it, seriously. Thought i was good enough to get into the finals, but thats just what i thought. Now i have serious doubts about my abilities as a singer. And guowei got into 1/4 finals of Singapores TalentQuest. He is that good. My partner in crime.
For Her Tip No 4
