Its funny in Singapore...how its eternally sunny and rainy together...Its also very frustrating when the day it rains is the day you didnt bring your little foldable umbrella out..When its very HOT..we will complain about how HOT it is...and when it rains...we will wish it didnt rain...But those cloudy days which are rather windy is perfect(provided it doesnt rain of course)...Although it is perfect if it rains when you are at home and do not plan to go out...its a perfect day for snuggling under the blankets and making pigs...
Just today...i got stuck in a huge downpour (not surprising..bet it has happened to every single singaporean or person living here for some time)...Anyways...double programming MCQ tests today...Java Server Pages was easy...hope i get higher.....Web Server and Network Administration was rather tricky...hope i didnt make any careless mistakes.....anyways..,mundane sch matters...dont need to mention too much...
Brought my Zara birthday present voucher(thanks again to the person who got it for me) out to use today...since my train concession had expired, i decided to take a bus down...and got mat to take a bus down with me (she uses a bus concession, so can pass by orchard)...niways...she thought it was a little early, so she changed her mind and went with me to zara to take a look...got some stuff (5 each) and went into the fitting rooms...two items worth considering...a flouncy boho skirt, and a low cut top which i have to wear with a tube inside(my baby must be so happy i didnt get this one)...another polo also rather nice...but if i were to get the low cut top, i would also get a pair of boxers for ben and shave a few dollars off mat's polo for her..but alas the boxers werent nice so i took the skirt...
i think we stayed around 30mins - 1 hr...when we were paying...i heard the rain( we were at the liat towers zara) i mean i literally heard it from the cashier counter...then i looked....OMFG!!it was not just RAIN per se...but a freaking storm...super heavy...we were standing there..about 20 mins...waiting for a chance to run..looking for a viable route to get to borders and the safety of an underpass....it lessened a bit but we were packing, hiding stuff....AND......we missed out chance....then it lightened again..and we ran to Esprit below..cut through starbucks, went toilet at Burger King ..and ventured yet again into the rain and towards Borders...
Mat needed to get some Tempura Flour to cook her Agedashi Tofu so on to Isetan Supermarket...We ate some yakitori at Tangs Market but were still very hungry....its is really very dangerous to be hungry in a supermarket..u just feel like buying everything you see...thats why...you never go grocery shopping on an empty stomach...u end up buying tons of snacks that make you fat...
Niways...i bought my fav jap corn snack in the end..(no escaping my theory)...hurs..finished went to Orchard Mrt to top up my -$0.42 EZlink. There was still a little unsheltered distance between the MRT exit and the bus stop but by that time, the rain was quite light already. we waited for 162, which mat takes...and i take together cos i can drop at Novena...
At the novena bus stop..i was happily waiting for 21/131 when i felt this barrel ram into me...i promptly lost my balance...hurhur..but i regained it ...heng i didnt fall...almost did..i was so bloody shocked...biangz...lucky its just an old woman rushing for her bus ...if not arhz...(actually i dont think i am that kinda kick fuss person also but i guess i just would have said something)...
home now...not doing much...as a result of helping Zhong Zheng on his little video clip project on sunday...i received 2 calls from the same group for help too...(putting a module learned 2 sems ago to good use - Multimedia Web Design)...actually we use it every time we have a programming proj...design you see..includes fireworks, flash etc...thats how i produce all my wallpapers...
