Paris!

Welcome, my friends, to Paris.
Here, have a flower on me.
Forget where you're from.
You're in France!
Children, come!
I'll show you that French joie de vivre!

Hi all! Me and sis are in paris! We're staying here for a month with lodgings @ my uncle's place....the city is beautiful, all the buildings and monuments have so much history and all the shops and places are so quaint!

On the first day we got here, we were kinda tired cos we didnt get much sleep on the flight, but still, we had to keep awake so that we wont suffer from jet lag for so many days. We had lunch @ my uncle's then went to the famous champs elysees saw the triumph arc...

(this is not taken by me, i havent loaded my photos yet)

took a lot of beautiful pictures. Saw some of the shops...things are so expensive here!! The same things back home in Singapore are much cheaper. Like a dior lip gloss is 22 euros, but @ home its 31sgd ...we havent been to all the districts, especially the wholesale district, we're also waiting for the sales to start to really shop. Right now we're just seeing the city, touring the sights, taking many beautiful pictures. Notre dame is simply stunning, with dad's wide angle camera the pictures are beautiful. The church is so grand it really makes u wonder how they built it so beautifully so long ago. Modern architecture has nothing on these old buildings. It has this kind of spooky feeling tho, its a bit dark and gloomy inside but its simply beautiful, the stained glass windows, the high domed ceiling...will load photos soon, as soon as we manage to find the memory card reader in luen's luggage. we also passed by the fountain of st. michel before we had dinner at this restaurant called "chez clement"..the food was good, dessert yummy, the food portions here are also kinda big, not as small as home.

Today we walked for a bit around the neighbourhood, just to get a feel of the place, and in the afternoon around 3 our cousins brought us to galaries lafayette and printemps to take a look, but the sale is starting soon so we're not really buying anything. We walked until our feet were a little tired then went for coffee. I walked into the most beautiful starbucks I'd ever seen. Lol and we saw this couple making out on one of the sofas like nobody's business, it was so funny and nobody seemed to even bother with them. We just had vietnamese beef noodles for dinner, and are basically @ home relaxing now...miss all of u!

Au revoir!
