I have been posted to a company called Ben Line Agencies (how coincidental)...its a shipping line company...Sigh...Money is not much but $500 is one of the better price packages already...most of them offer $440, which is the minimun, $800 which is from a travel agency, but in Golden Mile i die die also dont want to go...that place stinks, i mean literally, its very smelly. A few other companies offered $600, one of them being Golden Village(Saikang...sell popcorn, tickets, cleaning even..but for $600 i really dont mind)
Apparently this company is quite large in its operations though i suspect the office will be rather small with just one unit in South Point (Tanjong Pagar). After all those days of watching the mass exodus at Tanjong Pagar MRT station, i will be one of the crowd. Well..not exactly, cos i'm lucky enough to have 2 straight buses...
We were talking about during lunch the other day...I was asking Steph, "You know where exactly is Tanjong Pagar MRT ah?"
Steph said confidently though mockingly,"Yeah! After Raffles Place and before Outram Park lor!" which i replied," That one i also know leh...above ground never see before...". Sigh how young we are.
Actually, seriously speaking of working, i've not worked much in the actual outside world, i've only ever worked on a one-time 3 hour saturday morning job, 2 day Science Centre job and countless times in my mom's office. So this will be my first foray into the glitzy(or not) world of Tanjong Pagar..amidst all the Glass Towers and Concrete Boxes known as our CBD. Oh well..just dont piss off my supervisor and i guess i'll be allright..i hope.
